fools, mourning, and Glory

Apr 01, 2010 by

Today we all love playing the fool. It is April Fools day and Google among others has gotten into the act today.
Tomorrow we contemplate the darkness of the suffering and death of our Savior
The total and utter contempt the soldiers, religious leaders, and common people had for an innocent man
The pure and unadulterated hatred and sin in their hearts and in our hearts
The perpetual sin that held him to the cross
Yet in the midst of the darkness, we hope for Sunday
For Sunday provides the glory and the amazing grace that we so desperately need

Today we play the fool all of us truly have played the fool in our lives
Tomorrow we reflect, mourn, and repent
Sunday we rejoice and exult in His glorious resurrection

Have a great weekend and may the Lord bless your church and ministry this weekend
