Radical2New Book by David Platt!

Live a Radical Christian Life!

IS JESUS WORTH THIS TO YOU?

It's easy for American Christians to forget how Jesus said his followers would actually live, what their new lifestyle would actually look like. They would, he said, leave behind security, money, convenience, even family for him. They would abandon everything for the gospel. They would take up their crosses daily...

BUT WHO DO YOU KNOW WHO LIVES LIKE THAT? DO YOU?

In Radical, David Platt challenges you to consider with an open heart how we have manipulated the gospel to fit our cultural preferences. He shows what Jesus actually said about being his disciple--then invites you to believe and obey what you have heard. And he tells the dramatic story of what is happening as a "successful" suburban church decides to get serious about the gospel according to Jesus.

Finally, he urges you to join in The Radical Experiment --a one-year journey in authentic discipleship that will transform how you live in a world that desperately needs the Good News Jesus came to bring.

Collegiate Ministry and the Local church

May 05, 2010 by

Hey if you missed it we had a great discussion with Spencer Plumlee this week on collegiate ministry and the local church. There was some different opinions that were shared. Should students connect in the local church? Should the fit into both a campus based ministry and a local church ministry?

Feel free to check it out at the following link and let us know your thoughts!

Great Commission Resurgence-and college ministry

May 03, 2010 by

Today is a big day in the Southern Baptist Convention. A task force has been working for the last 11 months on trying to help the Southern Baptists Convention make sure they are focusing on what they should be about, the Great Commission. Below is the 5 minute synopsis report that was released today.

This report is not binding, but it does suggest changes to the convention.

Some of these changes will forever refocus funds and the direction of NAMB (North American Mission Board) and IMB (International Mission Board).
