mi-eXchange Recap from this Past Weekend

Oct 24, 2011 by

In case you guys were wondering, and hopefully praying, about how mi-eXchange went this past weekend, it went great!  We appreciate everyone who attended and pray that God's kingdom is grown as a direct result of training college students and young adults how to engage with different religious people groups.  I wanted to give you guys an idea of what happened over the weekend so I asked one of our college ministers to provide a summary of what his ministry learned from the event.

James Scivally, College Pastor at Southcliff Baptist Church wrote the following:

"mi-eXchange raised awareness in our students about the different faith groups right here in our backyard. This weekend was educational as we learned more about their beliefs, customs and how to reach them. It also reinforced the urgent need to share the gospel at every opportunity. God is bringing the nations to us. Now that we see them, we must change our perspective and treat our city like the mission field it truly is.

Thanks to the guys at SBTC for putting this weekend on for us!"

We were grateful to James and Southcliff Baptist Church for opening their doors to us this past weekend and look forward to seeing God use college students around the state of Texas to engage fellow collegiates who are Hindu, Buddhist and Muslim (as well as many other religions/non-religions) with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  If you missed out on mi-eXchange this year we would love to see you next year for mi-eXchange.  It is scheduled for October 19-20 in 2012 and will be held at Southcliff Baptist Church, in Fort Worth.  Mark down the date on your calendars and we hope to see you then!!
